The Sound of SceneSat Volume 1
Welcome to the 1st instalment of the Sound of SceneSat compilation series.
This is the one that started it all. After a year of being in beta, we launched the station for real on February 7th, 2009 with a huge show, where we played through all the tracks of this compilation. The whole idea behind this compilation was to let people know what they could expect from the station, namely music in all styles and genres. All for free!

Audio engine to use:
The main difference between these two options is that Web Audio forces a track to be fully downloaded before it can start playing. That gives the engine the possibility to process the audio data and make it possible to present things like the VU-meters and other reactive elements, even sound processing. HTML5 Audio will start playing the track as soon as it has received a little piece of it, making the application feel snappier. However, on mobile phones, HTML5 Audio will not let the playlist automagically progress to the next track without you clicking a button. Sadly, none of the engines will do that if you don't have the player open when it's time to switch track. The selected mode will be used when the next track is played.
